Happy Mukherjee is an accomplished professional in the realms of travel, street, and documentary photography with special interest in festivals and tribes. She is also photographic mentor , freelance photojournalist. With a decade-long career as an Economics teacher, she courageously transitioned to photography, turning her passion into a lifelong pursuit of storytelling through the lens. Her mastery in the craft has earned her the prestigious EFIP (Excellence FIP) and EFIAP (Excellence FIAP) distinctions, recognizing her profound contributions to the world of photography. As a respected competition judge, she brings a keen eye for artistry and technical finesse to national photography contests. With an impressive portfolio spanning over sixty countries, her work has been celebrated on global platforms, securing more than 500 national and international accolades. She has been honored sixteen times as Best Female Photographer across various prestigious photographic competitions. Notably, her evocative street photography earned recognition at the Siena Photography Contest & her travel photographer of the year award, a testament to her ability to capture raw, compelling moments. She also made history as the first Indian photographer to secure third place in the EISA Maestro International Photography Competition. Adding to her distinguished honors, she was awarded the coveted FIAP Blue Pin in Georgia—a mark of excellence in the photographic community. She is honoured from Prestigious Federation of Indian Photography(FIP) in appreciation of  her invaluable service, contribution, dedication,  hard work and generosity in the field of photographic art in 2025. Driven by an insatiable passion for visual storytelling, Happy Mukherjee continues to explore, document, and preserve cultures, emotions, and untold narratives, leaving an indelible mark on the world of photography.
